Tried this with no luck: Could be corrupted files.

You can download zip file containing HomeDJ executables:

http://www.homedj.net/download/3.4.5/HomeDJ.zip

Save it and unzip it to the drive where you have HomeDJ Installed.

This zip file has folder called HomeDJ, which has all files to run HomeDJ.

Let me know if you still have this issues after you refreshed files.

Gave me an error message saying: To run this application, you must first install one of the following versions of the .NET framework: V4.0.30319

Do you see HomeDJ in Add/Remove programs, or on Windows 7 in Programs and Features?
If yes, could you try to uninstall it first without removing configuration?
Thank you.

You can download and install Microsoft .NET 4.0 from Microsoft site.

http://www.microsoft.com...ad/details.aspx?id=17851

and try to unzip again HomeDJ zip file downloaded from

http://www.homedj.net/Download/4.1.6/homedj.zip

I tested fresh install from HomeDJ Site and it worked. It looks like some configuration of OS is corrupted and it has partial information about installed programs. When you try to install HomeDJ, installer getting information from OS that it is already installed and needs to be upgraded, but when Installer tries to upgrade it, it fails to find all files, that needs to be upgraded.

Try to do it after you install .NET framework 4.0. Once you re-install .NET, go to HomeDJ web site and try to download and install package again. If it does not work, then try to just download ZIP file and copy it to HomeDJ folder where it was installed before.
Thank you.

There is no homedj in my add/remove programs tab. I reinstalled .net framework and then retried the server install and got the same error message. I then downloaded the zip file, extracted & also got the same error message as before.

Go to Program and Features and select "Turn Windows Features on/off" on the left side.

Once you see list of features with check boxes, check the box: Microsoft .NET 3.5 and click OK.

After that it should be ok.
Thank you.

Could you send Screenshot of the error message you are getting?

Also do you have HomeDJ folder on your C drive or on any drive where you have it installed before?

If HomeDJ folder exists, probably you would have to delete it.
Thank you.

Windows Event Viewer could shed more light on what kind of error you are getting. To view Windows Event Log on your Computer go to:

Start->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Event Viewer.
Thank you.

Any warnings or errors before or after those events?

After installation fails, do you still have C:\HomeDJ folder and does it have any .exe files in it?

Thank you.

Did you just tried to unzip files from the ZIP you downloaded? You do not have to run setup after that.
After you unzipped files, just run Vorlan.HomeDJ.Connfigurator.exe to see if it runs.
Thank you.

Do you have some kind of anti-virus application, which might blocking Vorlan.HomeDJ.WinSrv.exe from execution?
Thank you.
