I searched the forum and could not find the answer.

I checked ON, "Enabled Direct Connection", in Muzecast configurator then opened the port on the router to point to my server PC IP Address.

In the app, Settings, Media Servers, My Home Computer, Connected to is set to "Muzecast Proxy"

I would like to change it to the IP address of my home computer. It doesn't let me. When I tap it, nothing happens.

How to change this setting?

Who is Internet Service Provider? If it is Comcast, I would not suggest opening port for a Server use, because Comcast will detect it and might ban you from accessing muzecast website.
Thank you.

Spectrum is my ISP. I've had the same IP for years. I run other services like cameras with my IP, never had a problem.

I just need to know how to configure the app. I would prefer direct connection. I will worry about ISP but there should be no problem.

You have the option in configurator, I assume some people are using it, how do you get it to work from the app?

Why don't you just answer my question?

I would rather not depend on your servers to use the app. That seems very suspicious.

Why do you have the option to do direct if there's no actual way to do it?

How do you do it?

Muzecast Service will automatically change the connection to direct if it will be able to access your computer from outside (from your phone). If it fails, it will revert back to Proxy mode. Could you check if Windows Firewall has an open port for the process: Vorlan.HomeDJ.Server.exe?

The direct connection still requires connection to the main Muzecast service for accessing security and Library metadata. Muzecase Server cannot act independently of cental Muzecast Service because it does not host a database.

The central database is needed to provide common music library metadata for both, computer-hosted and cloud-hosted music files.
Thank you.

Development of a pure standalone Muzecast server for Windows has started. It will not depend on Muzecast Servers.
Thank you.

Is this still in development? If so is there an ETA by chance?
Thanks in advance.
