Thanks again for the guidance!

That file is not in the folder. I do have the following files in that folder:

Vorlan.HomeDJ.Configurator.exe
Vorlan.HomeDJ.DbSave.exe
Vorlan.HomeDJ.Fingerprint.exe
Vorlan.HomeDJ.ReplayGain.exe
Vorlan.HomeDJ.Server.exe
Vorlan.HomeDJ.WinSrv.exe

Please advise.

Would it make sense just to uninstall and then reinstall from a "fresh file"?

I've also had some problems playing certain songs recently (posted but not yet solved in another thread) and maybe a fresh install would solve all my problems?

I also found a file called muzecastinstall.txt in my C: drive that contains a lot of lines similar to this:

Install started
Failed to unisntall Muzecast service. Error: The specified service does not exist as an installed service
Failed to create event log Playlist Import. Error: Source Playlist Import already exists on the local computer.
Failed to unisntall Muzecast service. Error: The specified service does not exist as an installed service
Failed to delete shortcut. Error: The directory is not empty

Not sure if this is revelant.

SysTray file is just to display status of Muzecast connection. You can remove it from Programs->Startup folder.

And yes, try to uninstall->reboot->install freshly downloaded file from muzecast.com

Please let me know if problem still there.
Thank you.

Hello,

I'm coming back in on this topic as I'd previously resigned myself to be unable to update.

My computer recently underwent a cleaning of malware, etc. and unfortunately the technician deleted my Muzecast server. I am not back at square 1 with the same problems I was having when I attempted to update.

To answer the last question in the thread, my folder does not contain the Vorlan.HomeDJ.SysTray.exe in that folder.

I am still running Windows 7. I tried to install both from the .exe and .zip files.

Please help! I miss my Muzecast!

Currently you have Server version 5.5.0 install. First you need to uninstall it.

Download this file from this URL:
www.muzecast.com/download/5.5.0/MuzecastSetup.msi

Executed downloaded MSI file. This file is for your current Muzecast installed version. It should ask you if you want to Repair or uninstall.

Select uninstall.

After uninstall, reboot.

Then download latest version if you have not done so. If you are running Windows 7, you can download EXE file for latest version.

Install latest version. It should work,
Thank you.

Thank you for the quick reply.

When I tried to get your link I got this message.

Server Error

404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

I had the same error on Chrome, Firefox and IE.

Darn. Failed again and always at the same spot.

Says that the program is on a "removable disc" and prompts me to search for a drive containing it.

The interesting thing is that when I opened my Android app just yesterday, I was able to access my music library even though I can't open the Muzecast Configuration Utility (the icon says that it corresponds to a program that has been moved or removed).

Vorlan.HomeDj.server.exe is running currently so that must be how I can still see some music. That being said, I can't refresh it to Folder Scan for new music I have added from the Configuration Utility.

(UPDATE: I opened the Muzecast folder on C: and opened the program libscan.exe. That opened a DOS type window and seems to be updating my latest music)

Also of note, my app prompts me that my PC is running 5.5.0 and it says I should update to 7.0.3.

I'm again thankful for all your thoughts and efforts.

Click this link and download HomeDJ.zip file, which has missing executable you can extract and place it in your Muzecast folder.

There is also Installer DLL file in this ZIP file, which has to exist in Muzecast folder in order to upgrade or uninstall.

You can try to copy missing files and try to upgrade.

Here is a link to ZIP file:

Thank you.
