Create Mix is similar concept to "Create Radio Station", or Pandora.
Create Mix - Creates dynamic playlist with initial song count set in Settings->Default Mix Settings. (Default value 12)
Playlist will have songs similar to the one based on which Mix was created.
If Mix was created based on Genre/Artist/Album/Folder, then random song from Genre/Artist/Album/Folder will be selected as a seed song. HomeDJ will try to put in the playlist songs matching seed song. HomeDJ is accurate in 90% of the time.
Dynamic playlist (MIX) is growing while playing. By end of each song 2 more similar songs are added similar to one just played. Playlist can grow up to 1000 songs.
Mix can be saved for future playback from Player Screen. Once top "=" icon is clicked, Playing Queue is displayed. Now Playing Queue has "floppy icon" by clicking it, you can save currently paying queue as a Playlist. In the case of Mix, Queue will be save in Mixed Playlist. Mix is separated from the rest of playlists in PlayLists Screen. There are 3 sections in Playlists Screen access from HomeDJ "WALL". By sliding sections left or right you can see your Static Playlists, Mixes or Imported Playlists.
Using thumb up - will mark this song as favorite and will add more songs (count based on initial song count set in Settings->Default Mix Settings).
Thumb down will mark this song is not accurately selected (not belong to this MIX) and this song will not be played anymore while playing this playlist (MIX). Song still visible with thumb down icon displayed next to it to avoid this song to be added in a future to this playlist.
Audio Preview. (HomeDJ Player 3.8.0 and up)
Create Mix dialog has 30 seconds audio preview of currently displayed song. By sliding left or right Create Mix dialog artwork, you can select next or prior songs. Once you see or hear song you would like to create mix based on, click "Create Mix" button.
Audio Preview can be disabled in Settings->Mix Default Settings.
Create Mix Dialog is Bluetooth controls compatible and can be operated by Bluetooth controls too. Very convenient in the car while driving. Once Create Mix dialog is displayed, use Bluetooth controls << or >> to select next or prev song. Click Play/Pause on your Bluetooth device to create mix on currently selected song. Song information is displayed on compatible Bluetooth device.
