For a few days now I've been unable to listen to hi-res music (192Khz and 96Khz) because every song I try to play pauses frequently while it is downloading, it's like if the buffer (if there's any) is not keeping up. My computer is connected directly to the modem through ethernet so I don't think there is any bandwith limitation since the connection is 1Gbps, however, the wireless connection between the phone and the modem is limited to 300Mbps, still I don't think that's a reason for the issue. Turning OFF "ReplayGain" and "force seekable FLAC" options don't make any difference. Edited by user Monday, September 7, 2020 2:56:59 PM(UTC)

According to this topic: https://auth.muzecast.co...e-issues-connecting.aspxI actually found the option turned OFF but I turned it ON the other day. Now I turned it OFF again to test this issue I'm having and the download speed was so slow that playback practically didn't start at all or there were too long pauses, the download speed in the statusbar went between slow to moderate but it never went to fast. What is going on?

Are you trying to play HiRes songs while your phone is on WiFi and WiFi on the same network where your Computer is?
Is you WiFi integrated with a Modem or it is a separate Access Point Router?
If Separate Access Point Router, is your Access Point setup as Bridged Mode?
When phone is on WiFi, and on the same network, it should connect directly to your computer, if WiFi is in the bridged mode. |
Thank you.

When you connected via WiFi, check Muzecast Settings->Media Servers->My Home Computer->Connected To.
If it shows that it is connected to your computer [IP Address]:[Port]/Service it means that you are connected directly to your computer. HiRes playback should not have problems with this connection.

Quote:Are you trying to play HiRes songs while your phone is on WiFi and WiFi on the same network where your Computer is? Yes, it is, nothing has changed on my network, everything is connected the same way it has always been. Quote:Is you WiFi integrated with a Modem or it is a separate Access Point Router? It is built-in, but I did use an access point in the past but I didn't have this issue. Quote:If Separate Access Point Router, is your Access Point setup as Bridged Mode? When I used the access point it the past it wasn't setup as bridge mode nor the current modem where WiFi is built-in. Quote:When phone is on WiFi, and on the same network, it should connect directly to your computer, if WiFi is in the bridged mode. the WiFi settings in the current modem are still the same as in the past, like I said before, this problem started a few days ago, the same day when I made the topic about OneDrive a few days ago. I wonder if you changed anything or your side that may have cause this issue?.

Quote:When you connected via WiFi, check Muzecast Settings->Media Servers->My Home Computer->Connected To. Whether "Enable Direct Connection" is ON or OFF in the sever settings, the "Connected to" always says "Muzecast Proxy". Is it OK or am I having a connection issue here? Do you need any log from the logs folder?
Maybe you can find something there.

If your connection and streaming in Relay Mode, then here is reported speed to and from Muzecast Services with your Computer and mobile device:
Upstream speed - speed of uploading media file from your computer to Muzecast Server: 8500 Kbit Per Second Downstream speed - speed of downloading media file from Muzecast Server to your mobile device: 2700 Kbit Per Second.
Please note, that this is average speed, and it might take in the count your Mobile data speed and your WiFi speed. I would need to add additional metrics to measure speeds based on network connection.
HiRes files usual bitrate is over 5000 Kbit Per Second.

Try temporary disable Window Firewall on your computer and restart Muzecast app on your phone.
Check connection in Muzecast Settings and make sure it is showing IP address of your computer and not Relay/Proxy Mode.
If disabling Firewall helped, then Muzecast was denied the command to open a port for local streaming directly to your phone.
You can re-enable Windows firewall and open port in Windows Firewall just for Vorlan.HomeDJ.Server.exe. Use port number to open which is shows in the Muzecast Configurator.
In that case, phone will directly download song from your computer, when you are connected via WiFi on your home network.

Just checking how Muzecast Streaming Service is running on your computer
Is it started from Windows Services or you are running it in Command Window?
Also, Is Muzecast Service running under LocalService user?

Thank you.
