I am downloading wav files via wifi with the quality setting at "original". The downloaded file size is much smaller than the original file. Is compression taking place?

Downloaded file will be FLAC if you enabled flac. It is compressed lossless file. quality is the same as WAV file.
If you do not have FLAC enabled in Muzecast Settings, downloaded file will be MP3 at bitrate 320 kb/s If you have Vorbis/OGG enabled in Muzecast settings, downloaded file will be OGG at bitrate between 500-1000 kb/s
FLAC is kind of the same thing as you would just ZIP your WAV file. |
Thank you.
Muzecast Support.
