Since I've updated to the 5.05 server, my Libscan has been crashing and not updating my library. The scan appears to finish, but it appears to crash after trying to close. The last commands I see in the cmd window is
Heartbeat failed: failed to part port number '' to integer System.FormatException: Failed to part port number '' to integer.
Any clues? Seemed to work fine up to now.

It looks like file "homedj.ini" is missing (corrupted) information about port number.
Please check file "homedj.ini" located in the folder where you installed Muzecast Streaming Server on your PC.
The line should be something like this:
[server] port=8081
where 8081 just a made up number. You can use any number between 80 and 65000.

I checked the the homedj.ini file, it doesn't appear corrupted and has the following setting
[server] port=37566
I changed it and resaved and still get the error. Any other things to check?

Does folder scan still recognize your songs? It looks like there quite a few in your library. Does this error cause folder scan not to add new songs?
This error happens in heartbeat monitor, which just sends small signals to central server about folderscan run status. It does not affect and should not affect scanning process.

It looks like the scan is updating the library. I can access it from my WIFI, but when accessing it from outside I'm getting a 500 - Internal Server error.

Try to change one of the options in Muzecast Configurator: Open Muzecast Configurator Select network tab Check ON option: "Do not configure firewall"
Let me know if you still cannot access your library from outside of WiFi network

No go. I can browse my library outside of WIFI, it shows new music available, but I can't stream music new music. I can stream music that I have cached. Tried changing the port to 80. When I changed the setting to "Do not configure firewall" I no longer get the 500 Internal server error on my phone, but the phone doesn't play the track. This started when I updated to 3.0.5, should I try to roll back?

From error log it shows that Operating system throws error 255 while Muzecast is trying to execute conversion process.
It might be that any file in Converters folder are corrupted, such as ffmpeg, lame or other. Or System does not have access rights to these files or Antivirus blocks access to these files.
Things to try: 1. Change Startup mode to "When I log in to my computer" in case if you have the other startup mode selected. Make sure you start Muzecast Configurator in the mode "Run as administrator". 2. If you are running with Startup mode "When computer starts", make sure Windows Build in account "SYSTEM" has read permissions on your G: drive or folders where your music files are.
if this does not help
then try to uninstall and re-install Muzecast Streaming Server.

1. and 2. didn't help. Uninstalled and reinstalled and everything is working again, no libscan errors and I can stream music over mobile data. Probably should uninstall and reinstall with each server update.
Thanks for the help!

You do not have to uninstall with each server update. Probably while updating some files got corrupted. Please run check disk on the drive where Muzecast is installed. It could be that disk had some bad sectors. |
Thank you.
