Please take a look at the software since the last couple updates. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and during playback with the screen off the audio is randomly choppy. The audio gets distorted briefly when turning the screen on/off.

Could you send screenshot of Battery usage from your phone after you use HomeDJ for at least an hour.
On your phone go to:
Settings->Battery.
It should display battery usage and HomeDJ should be in the list of the horizontal bars. Is it there? If yes, could you take a screenshot.
Also, while there, could you click on the bar of battery usage for HomeDJ and it should show CPU total, Stay awake and other information. Could you take a screenshot of this too.
