Hi! I love the app, I got it on my phone and tablet. But now when I upgradet the tablet (GT-P1000) to Android 4.3, HomeDJ just scrolls through songs. It starts to download them, but then just skips to the next song. No music playing. Doesn't matter if on WiFi or 3G... Works fine with my phone (SGS3 Android 4.1.2). In HomeDJ Settings try to set OGG Stream Only this way:
Settings->Streaming Options->Stream as Vorbis (OGG) - CHECKED;
Settings->Streaming Options->Stream Original MP3 - NOT CHECKED;

Are you using FREE or PAID version?
I am working on a new version, which should fix some issues with playback on latest version of Android. It might help you, but I am not ready to release this new version, because I did not complete Favorite feature implementation yet.
I might sent you directly new version to be installed on your Tablet, but you would have to enable option in Android Settings to allow Unknown Sources Installation.

I am using the paid version. Feel free to send a new version, unknown sources are now allowed. BTW. An option for a darker theme would be nice. I use the tablet as a media player in my car. The blue color is a bit too bright. :)

I have plans to have different themes in a very near future.
let me find a time to compile binary APK file. Once I am done I can send it to you via email.
This version will not have Favorite filter for all entities fully tested. But it has a fix for streaming, which might help you.

I just realized that PAID version id encrypted by Google Store and will not let install any other file if it is not distributed via Google Store.
I will work faster to release next version by end of this week even if it will not have fully functional Favorite filters.
I apologize for an inconvenience.

Try to disable caching under the cache settings. Let me know if it works with cache disabled. I will keep looking in other options how to resolve it. I tested out on multiple devices running Android 4.3 and all of them had no issues. :-( |

Didn't help, same problem.
Could it be because I am running on CyanogenMod-10.2 - 20130917 (HumberOS)?
It's the only CM that sends audio through dock port...

Are you running some kind of flavor of CM 10.2 or it is direct ROM download from CM Web site? Did latest version 3.9.5 help in any way?
Could you check again if Settings->Download and Cache->Cache->Disable Cache is checked ON.
Is it failing to stream with the same error?

Yes, I am running HumberOS: http://www.humberos.com..../09/cm-102-20130917.htmlNormal CM10.2 didn't send audio from dock port, HumberOS does. Version 3.9.5 didn't change anything. Cache is disabled Error is the same: "Track Dani California failed with 1/-2147483648 Format: ogg, algorithm: vbr, quality: 0, IsOffline: false, IsHttp? true (date) java.lang.Expection"

I'm not sure if im encountering exact same issue as Tmos,
but i also have the same error message.
I've tested with the following devices and all has same error.
(all with HomeDJ 3.9.5 installed)
1. Galaxy Note GT-N7000 (Android 4.3)
2. Lenovo A800 (Android 4.0.4)
3. Sony Xperia Z Ultra (Android 4.2.2)
except for one,
Transformer TF101G (Android 4.0.3) works fine..
if i use the demo account, theres no issue listening to the demo music.
Additional Info:
i've found that the Temp Folder in my Home PC which has the Streamer installed
will generate 0 Byte mp3/ogg file when the mobile devices try to play any music.
4_VBR_****randomwords****.mp3 => 0 byte
4_VBR_****randomwords****.ctl => inside was the path to the mp3 file. the path was correct
4_VBR_****randomwords****.ctl.err => Conversion failed with error code: 255
since it said Conversion error i thought it was some stream setting issue,
so i went to change the streaming setting. check ogg.. uncheck mp3.. disable chache.. change sdcard path.. blah blah blah
even tried setting exacly same as the TF101G.
it did not work.
Hopefully this information helps.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra (Android 4.2.2) [Official & not rooted] and adding 1 more, just installed HomeDJ 3.9.5 and encounted same error. 4. Sony Xperia MT25i (Android 4.0.4) [Official & not rooted] maybe it's not the mobile side issue?? i will try to re-install the streaming server tomorrow and try again.
