First off...Love that app dude!

BUT!

I am noticing a couple of issues that are making my experience a little less than ideal. I am really close to buying the full version, but not until these few bugs are fixed.

1. Some of my songs, seemingly random ones, suddenly start skipping like a scratched CD. Some of them are songs that I listen to all of the time and then they just started skipping all of a sudden. The files are fine because I can play them on my computer at home and even on my phone via the stock music player, but when I play them with HomeDj, they skip. It is not like they do it for a bit and then stop, the songs that start skipping stay that way and I am not sure how to fix it.

2. I am not 100% sure if this is my network at home that is causing this issue, but the connection with my files is randomly dropped. Usually, when i come home, it says it is connected. Not sure what the problem is. Do i need to have the program running in the foreground at all times for it work? Or can I get it connected and then close out of the program. If I do have to keep it connected...is there any chance of having a quick launch icon created so that I can keep it running in my toolbar?

Those are just a few thins I noticed. I am well aware of the term "Problem Lies In Between Keyboard and Chair" so, user error is always a possibility, but I do not know what I could be doing to cause it.

I really do love the app and will purchase it once I know that it is working as it should, wether that be you fixing the program or me fixing me...thanks!

Thank you.

Upcoming versions of Server and Android app should address those issues.
Thank you.

Hey!

So, I know this was posted originally 10 months ago, but I did not have the ability to use this app again until now and my issue is stil persisting. The playback is still choppy on some songs and not on others. The issue seems to fix itself if I skip forward and then go back to the song again, but I should not have to do that...I have noticed that if I put the quality on the lowest level, it seems to help, but then my songs sound like crap.

Could it have something to do with my connection? I am usually on 3G and my server is connected to a 30MB connection.

As I said before, I love this app and I will still use it, but I would like to know if there is soemthing I can do to make the experience a little better.

Also, it does not seem to be crashing anymore, so thanks for fixing that.

A few small questions.

You stated that your Server(Home Computer) is connected at 30Mb/s. Is it download speed or Upload speed?

What is your computer parameters like CPU, and RAM? I

f you try to stream a song to your player which was not yet cached on your device, could you check how much CPU is used on your computer?

Does it happen when you are running "Folder Scan" or even without?

Thank you.

It looks like you are streaming using CBR algorithm in MP3 format. It takes longer to convert song to be sent to device which might cause interruptions if computer is busy doing something else besides converting a song.

Change the following settings on your mobile device:

Settings->Streaming Options->Bitrate Algorithm-> Change it to VBR.

Settings->Streaming Options->Vorbis (OGG) -> Check it ON.

Optimal quality is recommenced for 3G connections. Higher quality can still be ok on 3G, but if 3G is not strong, then playback might be paused to buffer more data.
Thank you.
