I LOVE HomeDJ! It is by far the best music player on Android and the home server works flawlessly. Is there any chance of getting Chromecast support? I'd be willing to pay for the Pro version for this feature.

Is there any possibility of this happening? If not, I will have to use Plex full time. I would rather not, because HomeDJ has a much better interface, but I don't want to have to jump between two different apps.

It is a possibility. Due to a tight schedule of features and fixes, I would say most likely by end of the year. But it might happen earlier if it is not too complex task. |

You can cast the screen and you will see phone/tablet screen over the chromecast and open HomeDJ. It will start playing music over Chromcast on your TV/Receiver even if screen is locked.

Have you tried Screen mirroring with latest Chromecast application? It provides better use of Chromecast and compatible with any application. You will see pure HomeDJ Screens right on your TV. |

I have a Moto X and it is not yet supported for screen mirroring, so I can't try it.

Chromcast implementation is delayed and will not be release in August as planned.
Priorities have shifted a little.
Higher priority now is to release Web based UI to manage library and playback via Web interface.
Once Web interface is implemented it would be much faster to implement chromcast support, because it requires Web based interface hosted on HomeDJ Servers. |
