I recently found your app on the google play store. I have not gotten the paid app yet, I wanted to try it out before I payed to see if it would work for what I wanted. However, I have tried to use the app 3 times now, and have only managed to get it to play 1 song. When I open the app on my phone, my music all shows up, but when I tell it to play a particular song, or when I tell it to shuffle all songs, it moves to the now playing screen but nothing happens. The title and artist is displayed, the play button says it is playing, but the counter doesn't move. I can hit the next track button and it will change to another song with the same effect. The one song it did play took well over a minute to finally start. Thank you for any information on this issue.

Could you check Error Log in the Streamer: Muzecast Streamer->Settings->About->Error Log. Please let me know if you see any errors there.

Also, could you let me know what is your Internet upload speed where Muzecast Streaming Server is installed?


At what quality you were trying to play a song? Is it Original, High or any other?

Thank you for the responce. It doesn't show any error logs when I click on the link in the desktop app. It opens a folder with a few folders in it, but no other files.

My Internet speed here is 10mbps on the download and 3mbps on the upload side.

My music has a variety of quality settings, they range anywhere from 96kbps to 192kbps.

Have you tried to play songs again? I made a few modifications on my side.
Also, could you validate that you have "Help to improve Muzecast Software" checkbox ON on Muzecast Configurator About Tab, so I will be able to receive error information to trace down this issue?

I just tried to play music again, the first song started playing after about 30 seconds, no other song after that would play though, same as it has been doing for me thus far .

Yes I have the Help Improve Muzecast box checked, I believe this is a crucial thing to have, so I always check the boxes.

For now I do not see a single error reported from your device and server. Connection is very stable, upload time is very fast and response for requests from your device is fast.

Looking at streaming actions, I see at least 4 songs were streamed and response was about 1 second from the point device requested a song and to the point where it was sent to device.

Now I would need to see what happened on your device by Muzecast Interaction Logging, which is disabled by default. Could you enable it in Muzecast Settings->About->Interaction Logging, so I can trace how device responded to a song stream requests? After you enable Interaction Logging, please try to play a few more songs, and I will receive report of Muzecast interaction with server and it's response to stream a song as well as timings.

I have enabled Interaction Logging for you.

I did manage to get it to play for a while today. I had to pres the track forward button four times, and then the track back button four times. It did start playing at this point and played so long as I didn't try to play a specific track, or skip to the next song. As soon as I did this it would show the album artwork, and the title/album info, other than that it just sits there, the timer doesn't move from 00:00.

Thank you again for the help.

Would buying the app have any effect on this problem? I was going to wait to see if we could get this problem resolved first, as this is my only hang up so far.

Could you try to enable ExoPlayer in Muzecast Settings->Streaming Settings->ExoPlayer ON.

Restart Muzecast and let me know if playback is better.
