I'm having trouble with importing playlists, too. I found this thread from a couple years back, but it didn't have much detail for resolving the issue.

As long as you have your playlist folder in the white list for scanned directories, it looks like it should work. I'm not sure what I'm missing.

I'm used to creating my playlists beforehand on the desktop. I have been doing that with Google Music for years.
To me it seems very cumbersome to create my playlists on the android device.

Made progress with importing playlists in the android app.

First I created a new playlist in MediaMonkey in Windows.
Next created a PLAYLISTS folder inside the root music folder scanned by Muzecast.
Then in MediaMonkey I selected all tracks of the new playlist and did "SEND to m3u playlist" and store it in the PLAYLISTS folder.
Then I re-scanned the Muzecast library so the playlist is picked up. Now I have it on my Android device.

I have a folder titled "Playlist" as a subfolder to the root directory I specified for where my music is located. That didn't seem to work. I also then added the "Playlist" folder directly as a specified directory - that hasn't appeared to work either. My music is on a network drive, so I might try installing the server application on that box and see if it works. Has anyone else had similar issues?

My server is also accessing the music folder on a networked drive so that is not an issue.
I have many sub folders inside the root music folder with built in M3U playlists and all are detected and working by the Muzecast server and available to the Android app.

You can use any tool to create playlist on your computer. Playlist should be in M3U format.
Playlist should be visible to Muzecast from "Music Folders>Folder List listbox. If folder where playlist is located not in any path of specified folders in that list, add folder where your playlist is located.

Playlist should have each item with full path to a song. If playlist is located in the same folder where all songs are, you do not need to specify full path to a song.

In Muzecast Configurator "General" tab option "Automatically include folders from Playlists" - make it checked ON. That will make Muzecast first to look for playlists when folder scan is running.

If you created playlist and options "Enable Folder Monitoring" is checked on, folder scan will start automatically. If this option is OFF, start folder scan and Muzecast will find playlist you created and will make it available to Muzecast player.

You will be able to find that playlist in "Playlists" screen "IMPORTED" tab.

Please note, that "Store Playlists in this folder" item is not used for Playlist import. It indicates where playlists created in Muzecast player will be stored (copied FROM your device).
Thank you.

Thanks! I had actually already read that info on either the apps, website, or another thread. Appreciate the help support, though.

I figured out the issue. I wouldn't say it's a bug, but Sonos was able to handle the situation. So, it's one of those "bughancements" :)

My m3u files were generated using Winamp (an old version). My folder hierarchy is as follows:
- /Artists/<Artist>/<Album>/<song .mp3>
- /Playlists/<Playlist .m3u>

In the m3u files, each song was listed as:
- /Artists/<Artist>/<Album>/<song .mp3>

Notice that the network drive's name was not part of the filename in the m3u. When I put //networkname as part of the mp3 name, Muzecast was able to use the playlist.

My Sonos is able to stream those files without the network drive'a name listed as part of the mp3's file path.

When a playlist is updated on the PC where the server runs, is there a way to export it to the mobile app without a full re-scan of the entire music DB ?
