When streaming music, Muzecast sometimes jumps to the next song after playing only ~30 seconds. This does not happen for every song, and sometimes it is longer (or shorter) until the jump.
Using: - LG G4 with Android 5.1 - Muzecast app 5.8.0 - Muzecast server 5.3.1
Thanks,
-R

Could you change option in Muzecast Configurator "Network" tab. Option is "Disable Firewall/Router configuration"
Make sure it is CHECKED.
Let me know if you still experiencing the same issue.

Thank you.

Still seeing some random skips... in a 40 minute streaming session today, I had 2 skips (both after apox 30 seconds of music).
The Error Log shows two generic "java.lang.Throwable" errors, but I can't figure out how to show the actual trace.
Thanks,
-R

I see that you are on CDMA network. Were you receiving any calls during your streaming session? It is just for diagnostics, but your device should be ok with receiving data over the internet for streaming while on call. Edited by user Monday, October 26, 2015 8:15:39 AM(UTC)

Nope, was not on a phone call. The only things that were active at the time were GPS and Waze.
I was using Bluetooth to stream to my car.
Thanks,

Ok. I am putting more diagnostics in the next version as well as refining downloading code to prevent file corruption.
The error you were getting that file was corrupted during download. I hope that fix will solve the issue. If not, more diagnostics will give me more clues how to solve it. It is rare issue and quite hard to recreate. |
Thank you.

Just a quick followup... this happens reliably every time now.
The first song always skips (usually after about ~30 seconds of play). Then, every 2 or 3 subsequent songs will also skip.
I've found a workaround:
After the first song skips and the second song starts, I press PREVIOUS to return to the first song. It will then play in full, and there are no more skips for any subsequent songs.

On your phone Enable Developer Option. Could you let me know if you have an option to select NuPlayer in Developers Options? If yes, make sure it is unselected. |
Thank you.

I'm unable to locate this option. In Muzecast > Settings I don't see anything listed as "Developers Options." I looked in the Muzecast > Settings > Advanced, but didn't see it there, either. I'm using Muzecast 6.0.0 on Android 5.1 Thanks, -R
