Hello,

I'm trying to update the server from homedj to muzecast. Install instructions say to select the original homedj folder if you are upgrading which I do (c:\homedj). During install the website opens saying sorry to hear you are uninstalling muzecast??..
Then the installation hangs at Muzecast Music Streaming Server is being installed.

I tried forcing the cancellation of the install and trying again. It prompted that the Muzecast service process was running, which I stopped. Installation continued and then hung at same point as previously.

I'm having the same problem. I'm dead in the water now - it won't uninstall HomeDJ server and so I can't install the new MuziCast version. My process gets stuck on the "Removing HomeDJ Configuration Files..." step.

Additionally, it opens Internet Explorer as the "sorry to see you go" message even though Firefox is my default browser.

If you had a lot of music files, HomeDJ created quite a few music file pointers under HomeDJ folder. If you selected to remove all HomeDJ configuration, it might take time to remove all these file pointers.

The same applies to HomeDJ update to Muzecast. It might take some time to upgrade these files. But latest Installation file posted on Muzecast website skips this step and Upgrade should be faster.

Please try to download it again and run installation.

If there is still an issue, please let me know.
Thank you.

I just installed to default muzecast folder and setup the scan again.
Was getting really bad streaming performance with the old homedj server and muzecast client but now its running awesome! I really love the auto created playlists. Always a great related selection of my music.

I'm having the same issues (upgrading from HomeDJ to MuzeCast 5.02:

At the beginning of the installation, I get a browser window that opens up saying:

Quote:
Dear Muzecast User,

We are sorry to see you left us.

The installer "hangs." It has been running for more than 12 hours now, and I'm stuck at about 15% on the "Muzecast Music Streaming Server is being installed."

I only have about 6,000 songs in my library.

Please help!

Rick.

1. Cancel Install of Muzecast;
2. Uninstall HomeDJ (when prompted to delete configuration - do not delete it. )
3. Reboot;
4. Start Muzecast Install
5. While installing Muzecast make sure you select folder where HomeDJ was installed.
Thank you.

OK, that seems to have worked.

I have Muzecast 5.02 installed and my Droid phone can see and play my music.

However, when I start the Muzecast Configurator and try to go to the MUSIC FOLDERS tab to rescan my library (I've added several new songs), the application crashes with a Microsfot .NET Framework error:

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

If I click CONTINUE, the MUSIC FOLDERS tab appears and I'm able to start the scan.
