I have installed the server software and scanned all my files. I have also setup port forwarding and confirmed connectivity via a remote PC using telnet. When I check the status of the server it is still showing Proxy mode. Aside from port forwarding is there anything else I need to do to enable Direct streaming? Thanks, Simon Edited by user Thursday, February 20, 2014 12:18:27 PM(UTC)

1. Open HomeDJ Configurator. 2. Select "Network" tab. 3. Make sure check box "Do not configre firewall" is UNCHECKED. 4. Make sure "Enable Local WiFi Mode" is CHECKED.

Those checkboxes were removed and default values are always set as follows: HomeDJ will always try to configure firewall using UPnP protocol. If fails, use Proxy Mode. WiFi mode is always ON and only will not be available if UAC is strict, because HomeDJ will no be able to start internal Web Hosting services. That I am planing to change in a future.
So If there were checkboxes then are now default set to: 1. Do not configure firewall: UNCHECKED. 2. Enable Local WiFi Mode - Checked.
It looks like HomeDJ was unable to use UPnP firewall communication protocol to configure it. You would have to configure firewall manually for port forwarding.
Usually it is as follows:
Open your firewall configuration manager (via web browser) Once your are logged in go to the WAN configuration. There should be Tab or menu, or something stating: Port Forward, or Virtual Server.
Once you are there, add entry to forward port (you configured in HomeDJ) to your computer IP address. Click Save, or Apply buttons.
To get IP of your computer, open command prompt on your computer and type the command:
ipconfig
It will display IP address of your computer.
