Upcoming version of HomeDJ Player will have additional Streaming quality setting: - Original. When this option is selected original file will be streamed based on the following criteria: - Source file MP3 - will be streamed as MP3 with no conversion up to 320 kbps;
- Source file Lossless (FLAC, APE, WavePack) - will be streamed as FLAC with no conversion if device support FLAC streaming. Please note that even though some devices can play FLAC file, this device might not be able to stream FLAC files. In that case streaming FLAC should be disabled and FLAC files will be streamed as OGG files with maximum quality settings at 500 kbps.
Devices known that could play FLAC files but cannot stream FLAC files are Samsung devices.
To support this, both Server and Android HomeDJ software has to be updated and will be published soon. |
