Whether I use Cache or Streaming, "Force Seekable Flag" option doesn't work, when I try to skip to any part of the song by tapping the progress bar, it jumps immediately to the next song.

On version 10.0.2 I notice that "Force Seekable Flag" is working with CACHE, I am able now to jump to any part of the current playing song but it's not working with streaming, it's still skipping to the next song when I try to jump to any part of the current song.

Seek will not work if you are streaming FLAC files in original format without cache. FLAC is not streamable format. It will play, but FLAC container does not have seek information while in stream mode. Only OGG or MP3 are streamable. Probably it would make sense for Muzecast to stream in OGG or MP3 when cache is disabled. It will not be original file in that case. That could be as an extra option in Muzecast Settings.

Selecting "No FLAC support" inside "FLAC support" could help to that.

Hello again.

After the change you made in the server to download the songs directly, I found out that some FLACs (4 songs so far) won't download when the "Force Seekable Flag" is turned ON, at first I though it could be what you already explained about some FLACs not playing but they didn't get downloaded in the first place, so I assume it's something in the app you need to adjust to fix the problem with the option.

I'm going to share two songs that didn't download, the statusbar says "downloading" but below it displays Size 0.0K and nothing happens afterwards.

The only workaround for the moment is to turn the option OFF.

I tried to play these files with different settings and did not have any issues.

Tried on 4 devices:
OnePlus 6T
Samsung Galaxy S20
NVidia Shield TV
FireTV.

Tried multiple settings
ReplayGain: ON and OFF
Seekable ON and OFF
All Quality settings for each combination above.

I think I found the problem: When OOG is ON, songs won't download, but if I turn it OFF while "Force Seekable Flag" is ON they download correctly, so the problem is OGG.

Oh no!, for a moment it worked by turning OFF OGG, but it didn't work afterwards, now it doesn't download the song even if the are ON or OFF (both), not even restarting the app.

For OGG Seekable Flag has no effect. OGG is always seekable. Conversion goes through the same path.

Alright, I re-encoded the Savage Garden song and it appears to be downloading and playing with both options ON, but there is one Aerosmith song that doesn't want to download even after I re-encoded the file (It's not the one I shared first), please test it to see if it downloads and play on your end:

I re-encoded the file to WAV and then to FLAC again.

I forced stop the app and try to play the Aerosmith song and it downloads and play now, so I don't know what could be the problem, the rest of FLACs are downloading and playing correctly as usual.

I'm going to keep testing the app with all songs and I'll reply back in case another song doesn't download.

I just confirmed it:

Current settings:

WiFi quality setting: Hi-Res.

Limit cache = ON.

OGG = ON.

Force seekable flag = ON.

ReplayGain = OFF.

Use ExoPlayer = OFF

I started to play random songs and while the current song was playing (already downloaded) the next song to be downloaded was stuck in 0.0K, I went quickly to "Streaming Options" and turned OFF the OGG option and the song started to download immediately in the cache.

the OGG option is causing this problem apparently.

I also tested keeping the OGG option ON while turning the "Force Seekable Flag" OFF but the song didn't get downloaded, this also breaks the server, the app or both, the song won't download anymore unless I reboot my computer and leave the OGG option OFF again.

There seems to be an issue between the server and the OGG option.

I've been testing the app after the latest 10.1.2 version using the OGG option turned ON and all my music is playing correctly!, this app is now PERFECT!!!

I've been impressed on how fast you've fixed all the issues I've been reporting, do you work alone or do you have a team?

I still can't decide whether buying the app or to provide donations, but I can't do both... 😉

Don't forget the "Clear Queue" option and the Artist/AlbumArtist tag separation with the semicolon.
