Hi,

Just had something that, in a few months of having Muzecast, has never come up.

Today, when opening the configurator, Avast said that vorlan.homedj.configurator.exe was infected with (suspected) Win32:Evo-gen.

Size of the file is 1982960 and last modified on 30/01/2016.

I have added the file to the ignore list in avast and all is running okay now.

Just thought you'd like to know ansd of course I'd be interested if anyone else has had a similar problem?

Regards

I installed Avast on one of instances of Muzecast Server and Avast did not report any viruses. Could it be that it got infected by some other process?
Thank you.

It looks like only Avast blocking any Muzecast executable as well as MSI installation files. I checked with Kasperski, Norton, and McAffee and none of them rejected Muzecast files.

It looks like if Avast is configured in Hardent Mode, Avast checks if executable is in Avast know files database. If not, it will prompt with a message: "Avast Hardened mode prevented a program from starting on your computer". Just "Add an exclusion" to allow that program to run.

If you do not have hardened mode enabled in Avast, any Muzecast executable should run without any issue.
