What is the relation (if any) between HomeDJ and MusicIP (former MusicMagicMaixer)?

The reason I'm wondering is that I'm curious if HomeDJ supports the MusicIP fingerprints that I painstakingly put in my MP3 files so many moons ago. Also, the MusicIP mixing is second to none, so if I could expect the same from HomeDJ, I would be very happy indeed!

And of course, the reason I suspect a connection is the file name "MusicMagicServer.exe" in C:\HomeDJ, and the fact that System Explorer claims that file to have been developed by the company MusicIP!

Yes. It is using MusicIP headless server to create fingerprints. If you already have fingerprints encoded into your MP3 files, they are not used yet. I will make this fix in the near release. Kind of silly of me not to have this feature from the beginning. Duh.
Thank you.

Are you using the same algorithms to create mixes as well?

I makes first mix up to number of songs configured in HomeDJ Settings. Then it adds 2 more songs by the end of the each song based on that song, which has ended. It is called floating mix.
If song was thumb up, then it will be part of each mix generation to add 2 more songs, while current playlist is playing.
Thank you.

I just installed and was quite excited to see mention of musicIP during the install. a vastly underutilized music enhancer. will be great to see pregenerated fingerprints read by HomeDJ.
