Hello,

A lot of my music won't stream to my phone, no clue why, the music works on every other service and on my computer. I press play on a song and no song on the album will start, but this is happening for a ton of my music.

I checked the error log on the phone app and this is what is coming up so far:

java.lang.illegalstateexception

and

com.vorlan.homedj.exceptions.serverdatarequestExc..

All of my music is DRM free and I've never had any problems with any other players.

Anyone know what I should try to do? I uninstalled/reinstalled the HomeDj server and also uninstalled and resintalled the app on my Android HTC M8 google phone. I was looking at the error logs on my computer and there are hundreds of them from the server application.

HomeDJ Reports that file you are trying to stream is not found. I will send you email with a file path.
Thank you.

It looks like one of the drives is locked by BitLocker. Is it the drive where you have HomeDJ Installed to the drive where your music files are located?
Thank you.

Yes it has bitlocker on but it isn't locked, I even went into the directly and played the filed to make sure they weren't corrupt or something. When I get home I'll make sure that the drive didn't lock or something though.

And I will create a test PC with drives protected by BitLocker and see if HomeDJ is having issue with files located on a BitLocker drive.
Thank you.

Ok I did restart the computer and it was locked but even when unlocked it still won't play a ton of my music, I'm not sure why.

I have not had a chance to build test PC with BitLocker enabled.

I suggest you can try to change HomeDJ Startup mode to: When I logon to my computer.

With this option, you have to be logged on to your computer for HomeDJ to run. If you want it to be auto log on, you can use command from Start->Run option or from command line:

control userpasswords2

When window is opened, select Windows user name for your computer to sign in when it boots and uncheck the box above the list.

To change HomeDJ Startup option, open HomeDJ Configurator and select tab: Startup.
Make sure you start HomeDJ Configurator to run as Administrator (Right mouse click on HomeDJ Configurator Icon and select: Run as administrator)

Thank you.

It looks like Windows might be blocking any file creation in C:\Program Files (x86)\HomeDJ folder because it is located in C:\Program Files... folder.

Please install HomeDJ in it's own folder, for example C:\HomeDJ
Thank you.

I think it is not a BitLocker issue. The issue that I mentioned above that Program Files folder.

Very soon I am going to release new version of HomeDJ Streaming Server, installation of which will set proper permissions for installation folder.
Thank you.
